Dale Farmer-President
Born in Everett, Washington and married 55 years to Dolly. Three children and four grandsons, who all reside in Colorado. Dale attended the University of Washington before entering the United States Navy and served 2 years active and 6 years inactive during the Korean conflict. Dale worked for Standard Oil in CA for 34 years. He has lived in Colorado since 1977 and the town of Parker for 15 years. Dale is a volunteer for Red Cross, Visiting Nurse, Meals on Wheels, Douglas County Senior Advisory Council, President of the Parker Senior Center (1991-2001) and served on numerous committees for the Town of Parker. Dale was Parker's Interim Town Administrator and served twice on the Parker Town Council and Director of Guaranty Bank of Parker. Council for the Parker Economic Development Cornerstone Award (2000); Jim Adkins Community Service Award (1995); Man of the Year-Town of Parker (1993); Douglas County Senior Ambassador Award (1998); Daughters of the American Revolution Award (1996); Citizenship Award (1996). Currently, Dale is a member of the Parker Adventist Board of Trustees and Parker Fire Safety Foundation.
Jeff Lyon--Vice President
Jeff grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended college at the University of South Florida. After receiving his degree in biology, Jeff moved to Colorado to pursue his career as an environmental consultant. Through his work in environmental consulting, jeff has traveled to nearly every continent to conduct field work. Jeff has been flyfishing the Rocky Mountains for over a decade and worked as an Orvis endorsed fly fishing guide since 2007 conducting wade trips on the Colorado, Eagle, Yampa and Roaring Fork rivers. Jeff is currently working towards his Master's of Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver. Fly Fish for Life welcome’s Jeff’s experiences through his travels, business and the fly fishing industry.
Kaitlin Lyon--Treasurer
Kaitlin grew up in Minnesota and the attended Colorado State University. She graduated with a degree in finance and is now working for Anadarko, a major oil and gas company with offices in Colorado. Kaitlin enjoys the outdoors and spending time fly fishing with her new husband Jeff. Both Jeff and Kaitlin now and reside in Denver. Kaitlin’s expertise in finance will prove a valuable asset as the Fly Fish for Life treasurer.
Effie Kavadas--Secretary
Born in Greece, Effie has lived in Colorado since 1971. An interior decorator, she is the owner of Designs by Effie and is currently in the Design Center at Victorian Peaks. She has served as a fundraiser for the
Double Angel Foundation, and has a lasting connection with Craig Hospital and several other charitable organizations. She enjoys the mountains of Colorado and is recently becoming an avid angler. The board embraces her creativity, organizational skills and ideas in fundraising.
